Self Study
Step 1: Self Study
What is Self Study?
The first step toward microschool accreditation is to enroll in self study. Self study is a self-paced reflection period that gives you the opportunity to reflect on your work with learners and their families as well as the practices, programs, and policies you implement in your microschool.
The two main components of the Self Study phase are to:
1) Familiarize yourself and your staff with the NCMSE quality benchmarks and develop a plan to make appropriate improvements to your program and practice.
2) Begin collecting documents and materials you will use to complete your Quality Inventory. These items are required to be submitted during the Application and Quality Inventory phase (Phase 2).
